Senior Art Club (Saturdays)

About this Project

Overview: The Senior Art Club is a welcoming Saturday session designed specifically for older pupils to delve into the world of art. Participants are given the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic mediums in a relaxed, supportive environment that encourages self-expression, experimentation and creative exploration.

Programme Details: This centre-based project offers a structured yet flexible setting where technique and individual expression take centre stage. Engaging activities are tailored to suit different levels of experience, ensuring that everyone, from beginners to those with more developed skills, can feel confident and inspired. The recurring sessions allow participants to build upon previous work, gradually enhancing their skills and artistic vocabulary.

Social and Educational Benefits: Beyond developing technical skills, the club aims to foster friendship and community spirit. Through shared creative challenges and collaborative projects, pupils can form lasting bonds whilst also gaining important life skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback. This supportive network is instrumental in building self-esteem and a lifelong passion for the arts.
